This vintage bar cabinet, produced by Oldenburger Möbelwerkstätten in Germany in the 1950s, exemplifies the essence of mid-century modern design. Crafted from oak veneer with a matte, warm honey-brown finish, the piece measures 201 cm in height, 90 cm in width, and 46 cm in depth. The cabinet is divided into two main zones: an upper mirrored bar compartment with two glass shelves and integrated lighting, and a lower storage area. Four sliding doors, each with circular recessed handles made of matching wood, provide access to the interior, which includes four shelves and two book compartments. The top surface is finished with white Formica, reflecting the functional spirit of the era. Resting on a low, integrated plinth, the cabinet’s construction showcases precise joinery and a seamless, hardware-free exterior. The overall impression is one of solid craftsmanship and restrained elegance.
