ABOUT PRODUCTID 42667
This freestanding desk, designed by Svend Åge Madsen for Falster Møbelfabrik in the 1960s, epitomizes Danish mid-century modernism. Crafted from rosewood in a deep, warm brown with striking, dark grain patterns, the surface is finished in semi-matte lacquer, subtly reflecting light and highlighting the natural structure of the wood. The desk features gently rounded top edges and elegantly tapered legs, lending the entire composition a sense of lightness and refined proportion. On each side, suspended drawer modules hold three spacious drawers, each with elongated, sculpted wooden handles seamlessly integrated into the fronts. The two upper drawers are lockable. The rear of the desk is equally considered, with a wide, open bookshelf running nearly the full width, making it suitable for placement at the center of a room. The piece is presented in restored condition—its surface is even and smooth, with no visible signs of wear or restoration, and all elements remain authentic and sturdy. This desk speaks with the voice of the 1960s, when
