This compote set for six, produced by the renowned Hermanova Hut (Stölzle) glassworks in Czechoslovakia during the 1930s, stands as a distinguished example of Central European Art Deco glassmaking. It comprises a monumental centerpiece bowl (32 cm in length) and six smaller bowls (12.5 cm each), all crafted from thick, pressed glass in a saturated, emerald-green hue with a cool undertone. The glass is finished with a semi-matte, satin surface that softly diffuses light and enhances the depth of color. The design is rooted in geometric, faceted segments reminiscent of stylized petals radiating from the center of each piece. The main bowl features two angular, faceted handles, while each smaller bowl has a single, integrated handle echoing the same style. Sharply scalloped edges and delicate texturing around the rims emphasize the decorative nature of the set. The proportions are carefully balanced—the central bowl is notably more monumental, contrasted by the more compact, elegant small bowls.
