ABOUT PRODUCTID 4491
This pair of wall sconces, designed by R. Krüger and D. Witte for Staff Leuchten, was produced in Germany during the 1970s. Their design is emblematic of the era’s minimalist aesthetic, featuring brushed and brass-plated aluminum with a warm golden hue and subtle satin sheen. The gently convex, rectangular fronts are framed by matte white diffusers on the upper and lower edges, with small visible screws in the corners securing each element. The balanced proportions (25 × 25 × 10 cm) create a harmonious geometric rhythm. Each sconce is fitted with an E27 socket. The condition is very good – only minor surface scratches are visible, typical for careful use and age, with no significant dents, discoloration, or restoration traces. These sconces echo the voice of the 1970s—a period when German industrial design embraced durable materials and functional, yet quietly refined forms. The golden shimmer of the aluminum evokes an understated sense of luxury, balancing the disciplined geometry. The matte white diffusers soften the light, scattering it gently across the wall, and recalling a time when design sought harmony between practicality and subtle ornamentation. The light does not dominate; instead, it contributes to a reserved, sophisticated mood. These sconces could be paired with furniture featuring clean lines
