The vintage Häpen woman’s valet, attributed to Ehlén Johansson for Ikea, dates from 1988 and is firmly rooted in the Scandinavian modernism of the 1980s. Entirely crafted from black-painted steel wire, the piece is precisely shaped to outline a stylized female silhouette in a graphic, minimalist manner. The contours capture the curves of the bust, waist, and hips, further accented by a triangular element evocative of underwear. A circular base complements the slender sculptural lines, providing stability without heaviness.
