This wall lamp, designed by Uno & Östen Kristiansson for Luxus, is a quintessential example of 1960s Scandinavian modernism. Its structure features a vertically oriented, cylindrical frosted glass shade, mounted on a slender, upright teak bracket. Two conical teak pegs with visible wood grain and a satin finish securely hold the glass in place. The composition maintains harmonious proportions – the glass cylinder visually dominates, diffusing light softly, while the warm brown teak details add subtle, organic contrast. The craftsmanship is precise, with clean, geometric lines characteristic of Scandinavian design from this era.
