The 200-125 VAR chair, designed by Józef Chierowski in the early 1970s, continues the tradition of Polish modernist design. Its construction features a solid ash wood frame in a medium, natural brown that highlights the wood grain. The seat and backrest are upholstered in Shine Velvet fabric in a mustard shade—uniform, matte, and subtly light-reflective. The chair is distinguished by straight, slightly tapered legs with brass-coloured caps and fabric-covered buttons on the seat. Balanced proportions include a wide seat and gently reclining backrest, with precise joinery and no visible fittings. The form communicates restraint and respect for materials.
