This seven-arm chandelier from Kamenický Šenov, crafted in the 1970s, is a quintessential example of Czech lighting design that expertly marries geometric forms with artisanal glasswork. Its construction centers on a spherical core, from which seven arms radiate outwards, each ending in a cluster of faceted crystal glass. The sharply cut, three-dimensional pattern of the crystals resembles icy starbursts, emphasizing the dramatic interplay of light and shadow. Polished chrome surfaces on the arms, central stem, and canopy act as a mirror, reflecting both the fixture and its surroundings in cool, silvery tones. The chandelier is well-proportioned—46 cm in width and depth, with a 59 cm height—granting it visual lightness despite its intricate structure. All joints are precise, with seamless transitions between materials. The piece is preserved in very good condition, fully restored, exhibiting no signs of wear, dullness, or missing parts. The chandelier’s striking, radial silhouette gives voice to an era when Bohemia was a byword for glassmaking
