The Alky lounge chair, designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli, represents one of the first fully upholstered polyurethane armchairs. This model stands out with its organic, flowing silhouette—low, wide, and stable, with the seat and back forming a continuous, gently curved surface. The velvet upholstery in a deep wine shade has a matte finish, absorbing light and enhancing the color's depth. The legs are seamlessly integrated into the form, with only subtle brushed aluminum feet providing a touch of contrast and reinforcing the modernist aesthetic. The construction is seamless, without visible joints or screws, giving the chair a monolithic and minimalist expression.
