ABOUT PRODUCTID 36745
This monumental decorative amphora, designed by Zbigniew Horbowy for the 'Sudety' Glassworks in Szczytna Śląska in the 1970s, stands as one of the most recognizable and large-scale achievements of Polish modernist glass. Measuring 56 cm in height, its slender, distinctive silhouette features an organic waist and gently flared neck, crafted from soda-lime bubble glass with embedded air pockets that create a semi-translucent, almost hypnotic visual effect. The amphora captivates with its fluid color gradient: from delicate green at the center, through milky yellow, to a subtle honey glow at the base. A bold, mustard-orange handle forms a striking chromatic counterpoint to the subdued body. The glass surface is softly satin, and authentic, natural workshop inclusions—tiny grains and specks
