ABOUT PRODUCTID 4811
This amphora-shaped vase, designed by Kazimierz Krawczyk in the 1970s for the 'Sudety' Glassworks in Szczytna Śląska, is crafted from mass-colored soda glass in a saturated amber-yellow hue. The elongated body subtly widens towards the base and narrows at the neck, which then flares into a wide, flat rim. A darker amber line accentuates the rim, providing a refined contrast to the vibrant body. Two small, circular handles placed symmetrically on the neck reference classical amphora forms, adding a sculptural decorative detail. The glass surface is smooth and highly polished, highlighting the depth of color and the precision of craftsmanship; connections are seamless and carefully finished, with no imperfections visible. The vase embodies mid-century modern aesthetics: clean lines, harmonious proportions, and an emphasis on vivid color. It is preserved in excellent condition, showing no signs of wear or damage. In its form, the vase echoes the voice of Polish modernism of the 1970s: a period when artistic craftsmanship merged with contemporary trends.
