This handwoven Anatolian Persian rug from the 1960s is crafted entirely from high-quality wool, both in the pile and foundation. Measuring 116 by 164 cm including fringes, the rug features a dense and compact construction—knot density is approximately 250,000 knots per square meter, with a thickness of around 9 mm. The central field is a deep, cool navy blue, bordered by a saturated burgundy-red band adorned with repeating geometric and stylized floral motifs. Patterns in dark red, burgundy, ivory, and black are arranged in a harmonious, symmetrical composition, while the pile surface offers a subtle, lustrous sheen. The edges are finished with short, white fringes. The rug bears no signs of machine stitching; hand-knotted details speak to the traditional Anatolian craftsmanship of the 1960s
