This handwoven Anatolian rug from the 1970s exemplifies authentic nomadic craftsmanship from southern Turkey. Made entirely of wool, it features a dense weave (approximately 200,000 knots/m²) and a robust, solid construction. The surface has a matte finish, remains soft and slightly plush, and hand-knotted fringes at both ends highlight the artisanal quality. The central area displays geometric medallions and stylized floral motifs arranged symmetrically along the axis, framed by a multi-band border with zigzags and rosettes. The palette is built on creamy beige, enriched with burgundy, brown, olive green, muted orange, and touches of purple, resulting in a harmonious yet decorative composition. The dimensions, including fringes, are 52 x 110 cm.
