This handwoven Anatolian rug from Turkey, dating to the 1970s, measures 125 × 230 cm including fringes and is made entirely from high-quality, handspun wool. The primary color is a deep, warm red, complemented by intense navy blue and beige, with accents of yellow, green, and white. A central geometric medallion with stepped edges is surrounded by densely woven, symmetrical borders featuring stylized floral and geometric motifs, all characteristic of nomadic Anatolian design. The surface has a subtle sheen, and the pile is dense and slightly coarse. Edges are finished with traditional, hand-knotted fringes. The knot density is approximately 250,000 knots/m², with a pile thickness of around 10 mm.
