This 1960s Anatolian rug is a testament to Middle Eastern handcraft, woven in Turkey from high-quality wool on both warp and weft. Measuring 80 × 126 cm, it features a robust, compact construction with a dense pile approximately 10 mm thick and a weaving density of about 200,000 knots per square meter. The deep cobalt blue central field is bordered by a wide, vivid carmine red band. The composition is enhanced by geometric patterns, stylized stars, and plant motifs, all referencing classical Persian-Turkish ornamentation.
