ABOUT PRODUCTID 31873
This armchair, produced by Denmark’s Korup Stolefabrik in the 1960s, exemplifies the craftsmanship of Scandinavian mid-century modern design. The solid teak frame, finished in a warm, medium-brown satin-matte tone, reveals the natural wood grain in soft light. The construction flows in organic lines, with gently tapered legs and sculpted armrests that curve outward, providing both comfort and a distinctive silhouette. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a light beige fabric – a blend of linen, cotton, and viscose – with a subtle, tactile weave reminiscent of original 1960s Danish textiles. The upholstery and foam padding have been newly replaced for comfort and freshness, while proportions remain balanced, the slightly reclined back and floating seat enhancing the sense of lightness. No visible hardware disrupts the purity of the form, highlighting precise, seamless joinery. Condition: fully restored, with no visible signs of wear – ready for both daily use and collector display.
