ABOUT PRODUCTID 38125
Designed in 1954 by Steen Eiler Rasmussen and Kaj Lyngfeldt Larsen for the Danish brand Danbork, this armchair is an icon of 1950s Danish modernism. The structure features a matte-finish wooden frame with prominent grain, complemented by a molded plywood backrest with a natural veneer. Distinctive tubular metal armrests, capped with sculpted wooden ends, provide a striking detail that sets this model apart from typical Danish Modern chairs. The seat is upholstered in smooth black natural or faux leather, introducing a subtle interplay of materials. Slightly splayed legs and a balanced, geometric silhouette complete the composition. The metal elements display areas of patina and minor oxidation, while the wood and upholstery remain in very good condition, with only minor traces of use. Condition is described as good, consistent with age—no major damage or signs of repair.
