This armchair, designed by Zenon Bączyk in the 1970s, exemplifies the hallmarks of Polish modernism: a frame crafted from solid wood in a deep, dark brown finish with a subtle satin sheen accentuates the natural grain and artisanal quality. Broad, gently contoured armrests and removable seat and back cushions—upholstered in thick, soft velvet in a light pea-green shade (Paris series)—define its character. The backrest is detailed with three fabric-covered buttons, giving a discreet, classic rhythm. Its proportions—low, wide seat (height 38 cm, width 70 cm, depth 85 cm), slightly reclined back, and a prominent crossbar for reinforcement—ensure comfort. Visible mortise-and-tenon joints and solid construction are characteristic of the era. The chair has been fully restored; both the wooden frame and upholstery show no signs of wear and remain in near-mint condition.
