The RM58 Matte armchair is a contemporary take on Roman Modzelewski’s revolutionary 1958 design, now offered in a subtly muted olive green. Its iconic, sculptural shell is made from mass-dyed polyurethane composite, formed using the rotational molding technique, which ensures a satin-matte finish and crisp precision of form. Retaining the original enclosed “shell” shape, this version trades gloss for a velvety tactility that pairs beautifully with modern interiors inspired by nature, minimalism, or mid-century aesthetics. The chair is set on powder-coated steel legs. Thanks to its durable construction and weather-resistant materials, the RM58 Matte can also be used outdoors—in covered terraces, verandas, or semi-open spaces—blending visual lightness with practical resilience.
