Produced by the TON factory in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s, this armchair is a textbook example of mid-century modern aesthetics. The structure is based on a solid beech wood frame, stained in a deep walnut hue and finished with a semi-matte lacquer that accentuates the natural wood grain. The seat and backrest feature new cushions upholstered in smooth, matte black fabric, offering a bold contrast to the warm wood tones. Gently curved and slightly elevated armrests guide the silhouette, while the tapered, outward-angled legs reinforce the lightness and proportions typical of the era. Visible metal connectors and precise joinery complete the details. The chair has undergone full carpentry and upholstery restoration, showing no signs of wear or patina – restored condition.
