The Tecta D35 armchair with matching C35I ottoman is a design by A. Lorenz, originally conceived in 1932 and reintroduced into production by the German company Tecta in 1987. The construction is based on a cantilevered frame made of chrome-plated steel, creating a bold, geometric silhouette influenced by the Bauhaus movement. The cushions are upholstered in warm beige alcantara with a matte, suede-like texture; they are removable for easy cleaning, thanks to visible zippers and extractable filling. The color palette revolves around beige and yellow tones with hints of grey and chrome sheen, while the overall piece showcases refined detailing and a ‘floating’ visual effect. The set remains in good condition, with minor signs of use on the rattan and upholstery but no major damage. This ensemble evokes an era when the ideals of functionality and purity of form were paramount. The Bauhaus-inspired
