This Art Deco bonbonnière from the 1930s, most likely crafted by the renowned Moser workshops in Czechoslovakia, stands as an example of refined European crystal craftsmanship from the interwar period. The structure is made from luminous, cool-toned transparent crystal, precisely polished and faceted for a radiant appearance. Encircling the body is a wide band of oroplastique: gilded metal intricately engraved with leaf and botanical motifs, reflecting the highly stylized vocabulary of Art Deco. A rounded, stable foot and subtly tapered vertical lines emphasize the vessel’s proportions, while a spherical crystal finial crowns the lid. The metal band bears a noble, time-earned patina; the bonbonnière shows no signs of repair or damage. Preserved in very good condition, with only minor, age-appropriate changes to the surface of the decorative metalwork. The crystal body expresses the visual language of an era in which geometry and ornament found a harmonious equilibrium. In the late 1920s and 1930s, such an object would have embodied reserved luxury: light refracts through colorless glass, the golden frieze echoing modernist ornament—more symbolic than explicit. The lid with its crystal finial seems to invite everyday rituals while referencing an artisanal discipline. This combination
