This basket/centerpiece, designed by Julia Keilowa for Bracia Henneberg in Warsaw and produced in the 1930s, is an embodiment of Polish modernism and Art Deco style. Crafted from silver-plated brass, the piece measures 21 x 15 x 16 cm and features a harmonious, flowing form with a wide, shallow bowl set on a low, round base. Its defining element is a thin, semi-circular movable handle, elegantly arched and attached at two points along the undulating rim—a solution that adds both lightness and geometric discipline to the composition. The surface is a warm, muted silver, shifting in places to subtle hues of gold, brown, and blue, with a gentle sheen on the raised edges, all highlighted by a noble patina. On the underside, the original Warsaw factory hallmark remains clearly visible.
