ABOUT PRODUCTID 42511
This set comprises a crystal decanter with a matching stopper and three goblets, all crafted from cut and colored crystal. The dominant hue is a deep, cool-toned ruby red, which transitions to clear crystal in precisely cut sections, highlighting the decorative appeal. The meticulous cuts reveal geometric lattice motifs and stylized leaves or starbursts, characteristic of early 20th-century Art Deco. The decanter features a bulbous body with a slender neck, finished with a faceted stopper; the goblets have clear, faceted stems and bases, providing a striking contrast with the colored bowls. The surfaces are smooth, polished, and glossy. The set remains in good vintage condition, with minor scratches and traces of use consistent with its age.The red crystal of this decanter and goblets tells the story of an era when geometry and color became the language of modernity. The cut patterns reflect the harmonious balance of symmetry and ornament, echoing the dynamism of the 1920s and 1930s. When light passes through the colored glass, the set resonates with the ambiance of bygone salons—settings for conversation and the celebration of daily rituals, where glassware became both a witness to style and a symbol of hospitality. The set could be displayed on an interwar-era sideboard or a contemporary console, where the vibrant red glass brings energy to a neutral palette. It pairs well with porcelain featuring geometric patterns, a mirrored tray, or brass details to emphasize its Art Deco lineage. In a collector’s study or a mid-century modern living room, it can serve as a functional decorative feature, or as a focal point on a bar shelf, drawing the attention of guests.DECANTER: diameter 13 cm, height 39 cm, top diameter 4 cm.
