This ceramic sugar bowl from the 1930s, attributed to the Giesche manufactory, was produced in Poland and features a glossy glaze in a warm, creamy ivory tone. The low, rounded body, gently domed lid with a slender finial, and symmetrically curved handles reflect the functionalist character of the interwar period. Two hand-painted bands – a wide orange-red stripe and a thinner black line – encircle the lid and upper body with precise, even application, without additional floral or asymmetrical motifs. The overall style is restrained, with subtle Art Deco influences evident in its proportions and minimal ornamentation. The glaze is in very good condition, showing only minor crazing and natural discoloration, with no major damage or repairs. Condition: very good, with only light traces of age typical of vintage ceramics.This sugar bowl evokes the spirit of the 1930s – an era that valued both practicality and thoughtful design in everyday rituals.
