ABOUT PRODUCTID 18754
The Norblin sugar bowl from the 1920s embodies late Art Deco sensibility in its construction—a compact, rectangular form with softly rounded corners, elegantly elevated on four spherical feet. Crafted from brass and plated with silver, the surface displays a subdued, patinated hue with a gentle golden undertone, a natural result of decades of gentle oxidation. Engine-turned diamond guilloché and subtle ornamental plant motifs surround a decorative lid cartouche, while a discreet geometric border marks the area around the escutcheon and handle. The matte finish is accentuated by areas of darker tarnish, occasional brass exposure, and smaller scrapes, particularly noticeable along the edges and feet. The body, constructed with carefully assembled metal panels, reflects the craftsmanship associated with the Norblin manufacture. Every detail—the proportions, the practical small handle—remains faithful to the period's original design vocabulary. Condition: numerous traces of patina, minor scratches and abrasions, visibly aged but entirely authentic, with no signs of modern restoration. This sugar bowl speaks quietly of an era when late Art Deco geometry—disciplined yet never severe—was paired with the art of ornamental detail. The patina-dusted silver and subtle brass gleam seem to hold the atmosphere of interwar Poland, echoing moments from refined Warsaw parlors where such refined objects were indispensable at the breakfast table. The guilloché surface softly scatters the light, conjuring a languid poetry
