This Art Deco powdered sugar caster, crafted in the United Kingdom around 1900–1910, presents a striking dialogue between noble materials and refined craftsmanship. The body is fashioned from heavy, clear crystal, its chilly clarity accentuated by bands of deep, diamond-cut geometric patterns circling the upper section. Below, vertically aligned rectangular panels are each embellished with stylized star motifs. The surface, highly polished, creates prismatic light effects, while the domed lid of solid sterling silver (925) stands out with its hand-hammered, subtly matte finish. The lid is crowned with a delicately turned finial and ringed by precise perforations arranged for even dusting.
