ABOUT PRODUCTID 14038
This Czechoslovakian vase from the 1930s, attributed to the celebrated Moser glassworks, exemplifies Art Deco glassmaking. Crafted from richly saturated honey-amber glass with a high-gloss finish, the vase features a faceted, geometric profile that widens towards the mouth. Its most distinctive detail is a wide matte oroplastic band encircling the upper section—executed in gold tones, this frieze depicts shallow-relief figures and stylized foliage. The contrast between the matte, textured gold band and the glossy glass surfaces is pronounced, accentuating the vessel’s decorative focus. Form proportions—narrow at the base, expanding upward—underline its ornamental purpose, while the sharp facet lines and careful relief work reflect both a classical inspiration and the modernist precision characteristic of Art Deco. The vase remains in very good condition, with no signs of damage or repair. This piece speaks with the voice of an era when geometry met the shimmer of metallic ornamentation. Through the amber glass shines the optimism of the 1930s—a period that reimagined antiquity in the streamlined language of modernity. The oroplastic frieze, reminiscent of ancient reliefs, tells of a harmony between tradition and innovation: matte gold to the touch, glass surfaces gleaming in shifting daylight. Each facet and plane seems precisely designed to capture and direct light, a tribute to a time when decoration was both a gesture of confidence and a symbol of aesthetic experimentation. The vase may be placed on a console or low sideboard in warmly toned wood, allowing the honey glass to resonate. It would pair well with objects of equally clear geometry—chromed lamps, an Art Deco framed mirror, or minimalist ceramics—making it suitable for interiors styled in modern classic or for collector
