This Art Deco vase, designed by Joseph Hoffmann for the famed Moser glassworks and produced in Karlovy Vary in the 1930s, represents a crystallization of the era’s refined craftsmanship. The object’s architecture is rooted in pure geometry: an elongated body subtly expanding towards both rim and a precisely cut hexagonal base. Crafted from thick, high-quality crystal, the vase is imbued with an intense, amber-yellow hue, whose saturation reveals the clarity and gravitas of the material under natural light. The entire surface is adorned with sharply defined vertical facets, symmetrically running up its height and sculpting a play of light across the crystalline form. The vase eschews additional decorative motifs, relying on the purity of its cut and the luminosity of colored crystal for visual impact. An original Moser signature attests to its provenance and authenticity. The piece is in very good condition, with no visible damage, chips, or notable signs of wear. This vase seems to narrate the ethos of its own decade, where technical precision and a passion for capturing light transcended mere ornament. Each facet, meticulously proportioned and executed with near-surgical accuracy, recalls the discipline of the Viennese arts and crafts movement to which Hoffmann belonged. The amber surface seems to absorb and release light in a choreographed interplay of geometry and brilliance—as if the vase stores the day’s radiance to return it in delicate, angular reflections. Today, as in the 1930s, it is an object that both celebrates its sculptural presence and interacts dynamically with the ambient light of its surroundings.Within an
