This early 20th-century basket-form sugar bowl, produced by the German manufacturer Orivit, is crafted from brass plated with silver. Its surface presents a warm, slightly yellowed silver tone with a matte to semi-matte finish, marked by authentic patina and subtle tarnishing gained over decades. The rim is adorned with an openwork frieze featuring Art Nouveau motifs: stylized, flowing organic patterns interspersed with geometric diamond-shaped cutouts.
