This three-armed Art Nouveau candlestick, crafted in 1936 at Juliusz Scherer’s 'Schlossermet i S.T.E.R.' workshop in Włocławek, exemplifies the artistry of Polish metalwork from the 1930s. Made from hand-forged and hammered, platinum-plated steel, it features a cool, dark metallic grey tone with a subtly matte finish. The structure is defined by two intersecting circles forming the main body, a central vertical stem branching into three arms, each ending in a flower-shaped candle holder. The domed base is adorned with a hammered texture and scalloped edge. Decorative elements include a stylized tree motif with two pointed leaves and a central shoot, blending geometric Art Nouveau with early Art Deco influences. Visible hand-forged joints and meticulously worked details emphasize its sculptural, artisanal character.
