This Austrian Art Nouveau coin bank, dating from 1900–1910, is crafted from solid repoussé brass in a warm, medium antique gold tone, finished with a subtle satin-matte patina. Barrel-shaped with a domed lid and central coin slot, the bank is distinguished by a prominent repoussé motif: three stylized mushrooms set within a geometric Art Nouveau frame on the front, while the upper part features additional organic linear accents characteristic of the Secessionist style. The lid is fitted with a metal loop and side hinge, designed for closure with a padlock. The hand-worked construction is evident in the surface’s gentle undulations and deepened relief, while minor discolorations and a consistent patina emphasize its age. All structural elements remain original and complete. The overall condition is very good, with only delicate traces of use and natural darkening typical for objects from the early 20th century.This small object carries the spirit of Art Nouveau, telling the story of an era when ornament drew directly from nature.
