ABOUT PRODUCTID 17853
This Art Nouveau dance card notebook, dating from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, is a petite, rectangular accessory crafted from silver-plated brass, measuring 5.6 × 3.4 cm and weighing 19.2 g. The structure features softly rounded edges and a hinged cover adorned with a finely embossed cornflower motif—an emblematic detail of the Secessionist era. Each detail is thoughtfully considered, from the spring mechanism integrated into the cover to the dedicated holder for a miniature mechanical pencil that doubles as both the clasp and writing implement. The notebook’s individual pages have silvered edges, and a small loop at the top allows for attachment to a chain. The surface is matte, with natural patina and gentle oxidation accentuating the depth of the ornamental floral relief. The notebook retains its original silver tone, enhanced by traces of use that reinforce its authenticity. Condition: good, with minor scratches and light wear typical of genuine antiques from the period, all components appear original and intact. This dance card seems to echo the refined ritual of the fin de siècle ballroom,
