This late 19th-century Austrian Art Nouveau figural clock demonstrates the sculptural sensibility characteristic of the fin de siècle era. The work features a fully modeled nude nymph, gently bending with a bouquet of flowers over a stylized tree trunk, embodying the flowing lines and organic forms typical of Art Nouveau. The ceramic body in deep, dark brown is enlivened by golden-bronze highlights, especially on the hair, floral garland, and parts of the base. The surface combines a matte finish with subtle satin sheen, and the details – particularly in the hair and floral elements – are carefully modeled. The clock face, set in a brass or brass-plated bezel, features a white dial with black numerals and red accents on the hands.
