ABOUT PRODUCTID 20104
This mechanical pencil, produced around 1900 by the Lenk manufactory in Austria-Hungary, embodies the refined spirit of early 20th-century European luxury stationery. Its construction is based on a slender brass body with a warm, mirror-like polish, accented by finely machined rings at the transitions between sections. The central portion features a delicate pale pink enamel, adorned with a subtle guilloché (engine-turned) wave pattern that imparts both tactile and visual depth. The elongated, tapering form is symmetrical and closely tied to the Art Nouveau style of the era. The pencil is equipped with a functional mechanical mechanism, compatible with modern graphite leads. The pink enamel displays natural discoloration and the brass bears a patina – these are marks of age typical for an object of this provenance. The piece remains in good condition, showing no major dents or cracks. This pencil carries the quiet narrative of the fin de siècle, a time when everyday objects were imbued with sculptural quality and ornamentation.
