Produced in Poland during the 1960s, this sugar bowl is a testament to craftsmanship that, despite the modernist spirit of its time, remained rooted in the legacy of Art Nouveau. The clear, faceted glass body is set within silver-plated brass mounts, richly adorned with sculpted reliefs of tulips and leaves. The handles unfurl in gentle, symmetrical spirals, while the domed lid is topped with a small, rounded finial. A broad, silver-plated base lends stability to the whole piece. The cool silvery-gray palette, matte sheen, and natural patina are complemented by subtle abrasions on the silvering and faint signs of use, especially on the metal.
