ABOUT PRODUCTID 11469
This early 20th-century Art Nouveau biscuit jar features a vibrant green glass body with a semi-matte, slightly frosted surface, characteristic of Viennese craftsmanship from the period. The rounded, softly bulbous form is proportionate and harmonious, topped with a flat lid finished with a small, round finial and an arched brass handle. Hand-applied gold decorations, including floral and ribbon motifs, gracefully encircle the body, exemplifying the organic lines and botanical ornamentation of the Art Nouveau style. The brass metalwork—lid, rim, and handle—shows a warm, subtly aged patina. All elements appear original and well-preserved, with a solid overall construction. The jar is in very good condition, with the glass free from chips or cracks, and only minor surface wear on the metal parts, consistent with its age.
