This Art Nouveau silver tray, crafted in Russia between 1908 and 1917, exemplifies the refined metalwork of its era. Made from 875/1000 silver, it features pronounced gilt accents along the rim and on the stylized handles, which display a warm, subtly yellowish tone and a glossy, softly satin finish. The tray's ornate, scalloped outline is framed by two large, gracefully curved handles, each ending in pointed decorative motifs. Its central surface is richly engraved with a picturesque landscape: a cottage, trees, and rolling hills, all bordered by intricate foliate ornamentation in flowing, organic lines typical of the Secessionist style. The proportions are balanced, with a wide, shallow surface and generously sized handles; the construction is solid, with seamless joints and no visible screws or rivets.
