ABOUT PRODUCTID 37596
This Art Nouveau silver tray, crafted in Russia between 1908 and 1917, exemplifies the refined metalwork of its era. Made from 875/1000 silver, it features pronounced gilt accents along the rim and on the stylized handles, which display a warm, subtly yellowish tone and a glossy, softly satin finish. The tray's ornate, scalloped outline is framed by two large, gracefully curved handles, each ending in pointed decorative motifs. Its central surface is richly engraved with a picturesque landscape: a cottage, trees, and rolling hills, all bordered by intricate foliate ornamentation in flowing, organic lines typical of the Secessionist style. The tray is preserved in very good condition, showing only minimal patina and no signs of damage or restoration—all elements appear original. This tray echoes the spirit of Art Nouveau, where silver and gilding intertwine in a delicate interplay of light and shadow. The engraved florals seem to drift across the surface as if about to come alive, while the landscape scene conjures memories of tranquil Russian vistas at the turn of the century. Its silvery sheen, subtly softened by time, speaks of past gatherings, moments of celebration, and the everyday rituals that transformed the use of such an object into a quiet ceremony.Placed on a sideboard or console, the tray can serve as a decorative highlight, reflecting the glow of candlelight or a table lamp. It may be paired with other antique silverware, porcelain with flowing lines, or cut glass from the same era to emphasize its Sec
