ABOUT PRODUCTID 14047
This early 20th-century Art Nouveau vase from the Moser manufactory exemplifies refined Czech glass artistry. Crafted entirely from colorless alexandrite crystal glass, the vase displays a subtle turquoise hue—characteristic of this rare glass type that subtly alters its shade under changing light conditions. The body features a six-faceted prismatic shape, its sharply cut vertical planes heightening light refraction and casting a dynamic play of reflections across the high-gloss, exceptionally clear surface. The central decorative motif, a large matte hand-engraved floral pattern—most likely an iris with elongated leaves—offers a delicate contrast with the transparent clarity of the crystal. The design draws directly from Art Nouveau’s fascination with natural, organic forms, expressed in fluid, poetic lines and the interplay between frosted and polished textures. The broad and stable base elegantly narrows upwards, balancing architectural precision with softness inspired by nature. The vessel is free from any metal mounts or handles—comprising only pure crystal glass. Preserved in very good condition, the vase shows no chips, cracks, or signs of restoration, with only negligible wear visible under close inspection, consistent with age.
