ABOUT PRODUCTID 13799
This early 20th-century Loetz vase from Czechoslovakia is an exemplary manifestation of Art Nouveau glass artistry. Crafted from glass in a vibrant emerald green, it displays nuanced tonal transitions accentuated by an iridescent, pearlescent sheen. The body features a pronounced, regularly spaced honeycomb pattern composed of raised, oval cells, creating a tactile, three-dimensional texture—hallmarks of Loetz craftsmanship. Its form is bulbous at the base, flowing into a gently narrowing neck and terminating in a wide, straight lip, emphasizing the organic, fluid lines typical of the Art Nouveau era. The piece is shaped without visible seams; the rim is evenly smoothed, and apart from the deliberate optically ribbed motif, the surface is smooth, exhibiting no chips, repairs, or traces of restoration. The vase is preserved in excellent condition, free from wear common to pieces of this age. This vase echoes the dawn of the twentieth century, when Loetz artists drew upon the natural world as their visual muse. The flowing, undulating form speaks the Art Nouveau language—its iridescent surface dances with light, evoking the ripple of water or the delicate sway of leaves in a gentle breeze. The honeycomb optic creates an effect as if the glass were alive with refracted light, calling to mind natural structures seen through a microscope or a gem nestled within a forest. Light and color play across its surface, giving the impression of constant movement—a testament to an era that celebrated organic design and fluidity of line.Placed atop an oak or walnut console
