This early 20th-century Polish writing utensils stand is crafted from cast iron coated with a matte black enamel. Its rectangular body rests on four upwardly curved feet and displays shallow relief decorations in the Art Nouveau manner: flowing lines, stylized leaves, and organic botanical motifs enrich both sides and the base. Two horizontal rods – probably made of brass or brass-plated metal – feature visible patina and slight oxidation, lending an authentic, historic character to the composition. The matte enamel surface is smooth yet gently textured, interrupted here and there by abrasions that reveal glimpses of metallic sheen beneath. Measuring 12 cm in height, 12 cm in width, and 9.5 cm in depth, the proportions are balanced, while the sculptural reliefs remain pleasingly tactile.
