ABOUT PRODUCTID 5715
This one-of-a-kind vase by Joanna Wysocka-Panasiewicz is a large, sculptural piece made of glazed ceramic. Hand-molded, the vase stands on a narrow, slightly flared cylindrical base that lends a modern, geometric silhouette. Its creamy white exterior, finished in a glossy glaze, is adorned with a dynamic, hand-painted pattern of vertical and slightly diagonal cobalt blue stripes. The interior and rim are coated in a vivid, glossy red glaze, creating a striking contrast with the more subdued exterior. The precision of the glazing and the unique pattern emphasize the piece's artistic character. Signed 'JWP' by the artist, the vase shows no signs of wear, damage, or restoration, and remains in excellent, original condition. The form of this vase evokes a dialogue with mid-century modern aesthetics—bold color contrasts and a confident sculptural presence reference the postwar modernist tradition, but are interpreted through a distinctly contemporary lens. The cobalt stripes appear like flickering shadows cast on a wall, while the red interior suggests a hidden energy revealed only upon closer inspection. The vase tells a story where spontaneous painterly gestures meet the discipline of form, turning the everyday into a small stage for color and light. This ceramic piece can be placed on a low sideboard or table in the living room, where its glossy surface and interplay of contrasts will draw the eye. It pairs well with minimalist light wooden furniture or in combination with modernist art prints. The vase may be displayed with a single branch or left empty, serving as a stand-alone sculptural object. It will fit beautifully in collector
