ABOUT PRODUCTID 36320
This 19th-century artistic fan is a refined example of period craftsmanship, combining a finely carved, delicately pierced bone frame with high-quality silk. The frame features symmetrical openwork perforations and subtle carved details, showcasing the meticulous skills of artisans from renowned workshops of the era. The primary color is a soft, creamy ivory with a matte finish on the bone, while the silk leaf, with its gently satin sheen, is hand-painted with a romantic garden scene in pastels—soft pinks, blues, greens, and yellows. The proportions are classic: a wide, semicircular spread and slender, elongated sticks. The original silk tassel, in a matching ivory tone, is attached at the rivet, adding both movement and a touch of luxury. The fan is preserved in very good condition: the silk shows no signs of wear, the edging remains intact, and the opening mechanism is smooth. All decorative and functional elements are present and authentic
