ABOUT PRODUCTID 14951
This molded ceramic ashtray, model 1002, most likely designed by Adam Sadulski, was produced in the 1970s by Mirostowice Ceramic Works in Poland. Its organic, leaf-shaped form with gently rounded edges reflects both modernist and New Look design sensibilities characteristic of the period. Made of glazed porcelite, the piece features a warm brown color gradient with a subtle gloss, shifting from lighter caramel tones along the rim to a deep, muted brown at the center. The interior surface is adorned with a fine, speckled pattern, while the perimeter is defined by embossed lines that mimic leaf veins, adding both visual dynamism and tactile quality. The surface remains predominantly smooth, with the characteristic speckled glaze inside providing a slightly grainy texture. The underside bears the “Mi” factory stamp. There are no visible chips, cracks, or signs of restoration—the ashtray is preserved in excellent condition.
This object carries the spirit of 1970s Poland, a time when designers drew inspiration from nature and minimal decorative expression. Its leaf-like outline
