ABOUT PRODUCTID 17058
This square ceramic ashtray from the 1930s, designed by Raymond Chevallier for Boch Freres Keramis, exemplifies luxury decorative ceramics in the spirit of Art Deco. Made from fine clay, the piece has a solid form, with a wide, gently rounded and beveled rim measuring 13 cm across. The broad rim is covered with a warm matte gold, showing subtle rubbing typical for its age. The inner surface is adorned with the distinctive 'Mikado' pattern: an asymmetrical floral and foliage motif rendered in saturated, contrasting tones of blue, yellow, orange, turquoise green, black, and white.
