This collectible Attar perfume bottle, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, is a rare example of Middle Eastern or Indian craftsmanship. Its multifaceted, geometric body is constructed from meticulously cut natural bone tiles, assembled into a sharply contoured form (height approx. 10 cm, length approx. 4 cm, width 2.3 cm). The surface is densely decorated with hand-applied brown henna floral and vegetal motifs, rendered in a minute needle-painting technique that creates an almost textile-like texture. The elongated bone stopper serves as both a lid and an applicator, adorned with matching brown floral patterns. The matte surface has a subtle sheen that highlights the natural grain of the bone, while visible seams and scalloped edge details emphasize the object’s artisanal character.
