This collectible Attar perfume bottle, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1890–1935), embodies the artisanal mastery of Persian or Indian craftsmanship from the late Qajar and early Pahlavi periods. The body is formed from natural bone – traditionally camel bone – meticulously hollowed and turned to achieve its tall, slender silhouette with a bulbous lower section and an elegantly elongated neck. The smoothly polished surface is hand-painted in vivid blue using henna and natural pigments. Each floral and geometric motif is unique, highlighting the one-of-a-kind artistry of this piece. The fitted stopper, also made of bone, completes the form and includes an integrated applicator. The bottle measures 12 cm in height and approximately 2.8 cm in diameter. Condition is very good – there are no visible cracks, discolorations, or signs of restoration, and the painted decoration remains crisp.This bottle tells the story of subtle luxury at the courts of the East, where aromatic oils and perfumes were stored in vessels as precious as their contents.
