This serving trolley from the 1950s represents German mid-century modern design, distinguished by clarity of line and attention to structural detail. The frame is crafted from solid ash stained in a teak hue, with visible wood grain and a semi-matte finish in a warm, honey-brown tone. Two rectangular shelves of ash veneer, also teak-stained, have gently raised edges to secure items in place. The slender, slightly tapered legs are fitted with small brass casters for effortless mobility. The frame is joined at the corners with visible brass screws, emphasizing its artisanal character. Brass fittings have acquired a discreet, natural patina consistent with the trolley’s vintage origin. The piece is in very good condition, having undergone professional restoration: the wood surfaces have been refreshed and the brass fittings polished, while the authentic mid-century aesthetic is preserved.
