ABOUT PRODUCTID 42749
This mobile bar cart from the 1980s is a quintessential example of Hollywood Regency style, featuring a lightweight, circular structure formed from gleaming gold-toned metal tubing. Two smoked glass shelves, with a subtle grey graphite tint, are encircled by slender gold rings that provide both protection and a refined decorative touch for bottles and glassware. The gracefully curved handles transition seamlessly into slender legs, which terminate in small black and gold castors, allowing for effortless mobility and practical use. The choice of materials — metal and tempered glass — imparts a smooth, lustrous finish and a decorative yet visually light character. The entire piece is organized around a symmetrical, circular geometry, echoing the glamorous spirit of the 1980s. The bar cart is preserved in very good condition, displaying only minor scratches and a natural patina on the gold finish, consistent with its age; the glass shelves remain clear and free from chips. This cart tells the story of an era when gold and glass set the scene for social gatherings and interiors aspired to shimmer like stills from Hollywood’s most opulent films. Its Hollywood Regency lines avoid heaviness, instead inviting light to dance across its surfaces and reflect the ambience of evening cocktails and lively conversation. Each detail — from the gentle arc of the handles to the fine gold bands — suggests that function and ornamentation can coexist in subtle harmony. This is a piece that introduces lightness and a discreet sense of luxury, while remaining firmly rooted in everyday practicality. For interior arrangements, the cart can be paired with dark wood veneers or marble, velvet fabrics in deep green or navy, and mirrored accents to intensify the interplay of light. It will serve equally well as a centrepiece for home entertaining or as
