This early 19th-century Biedermeier beaker from Bohemian Czechia is hand-crafted from thick, clear crystal glass. The upper section is adorned with alternating medallions—one a deep ruby red, the other in a warm yellow hue—each featuring intricately engraved, white botanical motifs. The glass around the medallions is polished to a lustrous, mirror-like finish, heightening its transparency and substantial presence. A fine gold band accents the rim and separates the upper from the lower section; there are discreet signs of wear on the gilded surfaces, a detail affirming the beaker’s antique authenticity. The lower part is decorated with precisely cut, vertical facets, lending geometric structure characteristic of the Biedermeier style. The piece is substantial and tactile, the handiwork evident in the crisp lines and weight of the crystal. Minor surface scratches and a gentle patina are visible, yet there are no noticeable cracks or chips.
